Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding agreement to use Trezow. If you use Trezow on behalf of someone else, you confirm you’re authorised to do so and that they’ll follow these terms.

2. The give-away model

Trezow is strictly a give-away marketplace. Every item is offered for ₹0. Selling, bartering, or requesting any payment or consideration between users is prohibited and may result in removal. The only payment on Trezow is an optional contribution to support the platform.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials safe, and for all activity that happens under it. Provide accurate information and keep it current. One personal account per person — no business or brand profiles. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

4. Listing an item

• You must own the item and have the right to give it away.
• Describe it honestly — condition, faults, and what’s included.
• Don’t list prohibited items.
• You keep ownership of the content you post (photos, text), and you’re responsible for it. You grant Trezow a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service.

5. Requests & handover

Requests are free. Givers choose who receives an item. You arrange handover between yourselves — meet safely and follow our Community Guidelines. Trezow is a venue: we don’t take possession of items, inspect them, or guarantee condition, safety, or that a handover will happen.

6. Platform support

Contributions are voluntary and help keep Trezow running, processed by Razorpay. They are not payment for any item and are generally non-refundable — see our Support & Refund Policy.

7. Conduct & ratings

Be honest and respectful. After a completed handover, both people may leave a rating. Don’t harass, spam, impersonate, or misuse the platform. We may remove content and act on reports.

8. Moderation & termination

We may hide items, ban users, or remove content that violates these terms or endangers the community — with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time.

9. Assumption of risk

Trezow only connects people. Every conversation, meeting, and handover happens directly between users, in the real world, and at your own risk. You alone decide who to interact with, where and how to meet, and whether to give or accept any item. You are responsible for your own safety and for inspecting and satisfying yourself about any item before taking or giving it. You accept all risks arising from meeting other users and from items given or received.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Trezow is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that items are safe, lawful, or as described, that any handover will occur, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trezow and its team, affiliates, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from any item given or received or any interaction between users — even if we were advised of the possibility. Where we are nonetheless found liable, our total aggregate liability is limited to ₹5,000 or the total contributions you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Release

Because Trezow is only a venue, you release Trezow and its team, affiliates, and partners from all claims, demands, disputes, damages, and losses of every kind — known or unknown — arising out of or connected with any interaction, meeting, dispute, or exchange between you and another user, or any item given or received. Any dispute over an item or a handover is strictly between the users involved.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trezow and its team, affiliates, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your listings, content, items, or conduct; (b) your breach of these terms or the Community Guidelines; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any interaction or exchange between you and another user.

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please try to resolve any dispute with us informally first by contacting us. Any dispute that can’t be resolved is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

15. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms, together with our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Trezow.
